In Like a Lion
A week before we left for San Francsisco, one of Mrs.C’s crocuses came up and Spring seemed like it was just around the corner. Now a half a foot of snow on the ground from last night’s storm, with more on the way. Hard to believe that we don’t wear shoes for five months out of the year. But maybe it’s better this way; there’s plenty of work to do before Spring fever replaces this lingering Winter cold.
I’m back at Xana and Dax: When Opposites Attract. I’d say it’s about 20-30 hours away from a solid rough cut. Then we’ll burn some DVD-Rs and send them out to our brain trust for reaction. After that figure another 10 or so hours of tuning and tweeking before it’s ready to export and author. Mrs.C already has the amaray insert and face designed. Once the disc is authored, it’s only a 10-14 day turnaround on replication.
Ashley and Kisha and Damon and Hunter are both synced. The sex is the easy part. Our interviews with both couples ran nearly two hours, so it will take some time to distill that down to a reasonable running time. That process is always fraught with tough choices about what to keep and what to leave out. Sometime the most wonderful little anecdotes can’t be made to fit into the narrative.

But first things first. There’s a three foot snow drift outside our front door (something about how the wind swirls when we get a Nor’Easter). I’ve got to dig that out so my daughter can get to the busstop.
